Yes, we accept insurance just like any other doctor's office, including HSA and FSA coverage. Before your visit, we will request proof of insurance, verify your benefits, check your co-pay, and obtain authorization from your doctor. Typically, insurance companies take about 3-5 business days to process and approve authorization requests for lice treatment insurance. If our service is covered under your health plan, we’ll schedule your appointment as soon as we receive authorization approval, which may take a few days to process. Additionally, if you have out-of-network reimbursement options, we can assist you with that as well.

If you prefer to be seen immediately without waiting for insurance approval, you can choose to pay out-of-pocket. In this case, you’ll be responsible for the full payment at the time of service. However, you can still submit a claim for out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company. If you have HSA or FSA coverage, you may be able to use those funds for your payment. We will provide all necessary documentation to support your claim, although we cannot guarantee reimbursement as an out-of-network provider for lice treatment insurance.

At Nits N Lice Care Clinics Urgent Care, we understand that managing lice treatment costs is important to you. We strive to help you make the most of your out-of-network benefits and utilize your lice treatment insurance effectively, ensuring potential coverage through HSA and FSA options. However, please note that we cannot be held responsible for denied claims and are unable to issue refunds for those. We provide detailed invoices, known as superbills, for all services rendered, which can be submitted for out-of-network reimbursement to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

We want to ensure you receive all the benefits, including any HSA FSA coverage you’re entitled to. However, it’s not unusual for health insurance claims, such as those for lice treatment insurance, to be denied for various reasons. If your claim is denied, you generally have up to 180 days to request an appeal. If you find yourself in this situation, we are here to help you understand the next steps. We can work on your behalf with your insurance company to review the reasons for the denial and gather any necessary documentation for out-of-network reimbursement to support your appeal. A superbill is an itemized document detailing the services provided during your visit, allowing you to directly submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. This is particularly advantageous for out-of-network services like ours, helping you access your out-of-network reimbursement options. After paying upfront for the visit, the superbill can also support you in leveraging HSA and FSA coverage, ensuring you maximize any potential benefits. Additionally, it facilitates the process of obtaining lice treatment insurance reimbursement, should your plan cover it.
